STRAIGHT (AIM: STT) Contract To Supply Kitchen Caddies In Hertfordshire

The AIM quoted environmental products and services group announced the award of a contract to provide kitchen caddy food waste containers to over 150,000 households in Hertfordshire.
It’s only a small contract (c£150,000), covering approximately a third of households in Hertfordshire, but could prove a good indicator of local authorities efforts in supporting householders separate food waste at the kerbside.
The market clearly appreciated this news with the shares climbing approximately 12% to 70p, albeit on only relatively slim volumes.
Since touching lows of c18p in December 2008 the shares have had a good run in 2009 which is hardly surprising given the encouraging newsflow and compelling fundamentals.
