AIM had a torrid 2022 as fund raising ground to a halt and cash rich buyers snapped-up some of AIM’s largest and best companies. More positively, those with a keen eye on the Inheritance Tax planning benefits should be encouraged by the appealing dividend yield and more modest valuations on offer. But let’s hope private equity doesn’t get there first!


At the end of December 2022 there were 816 companies on AIM, with the total market value of London's growth market approximately £93 billion. This compares to 825 companies at the end of November, when AIM’s market value was £98 billion.
