Following-on from a very active December, January proved to be a quiet month for new arrivals on AIM, with the technology sell-off no doubt also dissuading potential newcomers and their backers. At the end of January 2022 there were 845 companies on AIM, with the total market value of London's growth market £134 billion. This compares to 852 companies at the end of December, when AIM’s market value was £150 billion. There was only 1 new arrival in the month and 8 departures.

It was challenging start to 2022 for AIM as London’s growth market got caught up in the general tech sell-off with the AIM index…
