A distinct lack of Character to close for Christmas

Excessive management remuneration is a feature of many listed companies, but this underperforming AIM company takes things to a whole new level  

Character Group (LON:CCT), the AIM quoted toy and games group, chose the last trading day before Christmas to release its annual report. We have previously been critical of the scandalous level of remuneration Character has paid out to its senior managers and the latest annual report reveals yet another year of excess and disdain for outside shareholders. Despite making only modest progress in 2019 and with plenty of problems on the horizon, notably the potential loss of its key Peppa Pig licence, Directors have once again received huge payments.
