AIM new arrivals and leavers September 2022
London’s growth market has had a torrid time in 2022. Our regular update here covers the performance in the year to date, an interesting new arrival and also highlights a sector to be avoided, unless that is you are a very astute short-term trader!
At the end of September 2022 there were 827 companies on AIM, with the total market value of London's growth market approximately £93 billion. This compares to 831 companies at the end of July, when AIM’s market value was £103 billion. There was only one new arrival in the month and 5 leavers. It was the first time since March 2019 that AIM’s overall value had fallen below £100 billion, with only 14 AIM companies carrying market capitalisations of over £1 billion.
