Given the torrid stock market conditions, particularly for smaller growth companies, February proved to be a more active month for new arrivals on AIM than might have been expected. At the end of February 2022 there were 846 companies on AIM, with the total market value of London's growth market £125 billion. This compares to 845 companies at the end of January, when AIM’s market value was £134 billion. There were 7 new arrivals in the month and 6 departures several of which may be of interest to those investing in AIM for Inheritance Tax planning purposes. The £9 billion decline in value of AIM from the previous month was also driven by the move of ASOS to the main market, but the AIM index still fell nearly 5%…
