Aquis Exchange – shares get off to a flyer and just the sort of business AIM should encourage
Shares in Aquis Exchange (AIM:AQX), the new pan-European equities exchange operator, got off a real flyer on AIM Admission today. So, what’s the appeal of this challenger to the LSE?
Aquis Exchange is a Pan-European cash equities trading venue with a unique, subscription based, pricing model using its own highly-performant trading technology, which has been developed in-house. Chief Executive Alasdair Haynes founded the Company in 2012 after identifying the opportunity for providing a high quality equities exchange differentiated from all other exchanges through the introduction of a subscription pricing model and subsequently the introduction of a ban on aggressive trading by proprietary trading firms.
