A company covered here is set to do nicely from rising interest rates while another looks more worrying to us. Elsewhere, we aren't convinced the Lipstick Effect is applicable to a cosmetics business also covered here.

Warpaint: trading ahead Shares in Warpaint London (AIM: W7L), the supplier of colour cosmetics and owner of the W7 and Technic brands, leaped on a positive trading update. Results for the year ending 31 December 2022 are now expected to be ahead of market expectations with sales of at least £61m and adjusted profit before tax in excess of £9m. In addition to the strong operating performance referred to above, the Group expects to potentially further benefit from favourable foreign exchange gains.
