Next up for us at the London Value Investor Conference was a Question and Answer session with Charles Brandes of Brandes Investment partners .
Charles is a highly regarded value investor and an early disciple of Benjamin Graham whom he met when working as a stock broker in Sand Diego. Brandes Investment Partners, which was established back in 1974, has around US$30bn under management. Charles expressed concerns over the huge growth in passive/index investing and the potential risk to the efficient allocation of capital if passive investing gets too great.
