Fishing Republic (AIM:FISH) – Will it sink or swim on AIM?
Fishing Republic, the fishing tackle retailer, has today announced that it will begin trading its shares on AIM, with the highly appropriate ticker FISH.
Fishing Republic was founded in 2005 by current CEO Steve Gross. Steve leads a very experienced management team and started his first venture in retailing aged 13 years selling fishing flies and fly tying materials to fishing tackle wholesalers. He also previously captained England’s under-21 fly fishing team. The company has grown from its small single store in Barnsley to become one of the largest fishing tackle retailers in the UK, selling stock online and from a chain of seven retail outlets in the North of England.
