An online fashion brand covered here is making plenty of sales, but profits and cash still remain elusive. A cloud computing company has the opposite problem of zero growth but plenty of cash. Others offer even more uncertainty. Which is the better investment?

Sosandar: customers grow but losses continueOnline women's fashion brand Sosandar (LON: SOS) announced interim results showing strong sales and growth but continuing losses. Given the huge growth in online activity over the year we are surprised this business hasn’t been able to move into profit, although there have clearly been other challenges to contend with as well. Hopefully, the Christmas period will bring much profitable joy. For the 5 months ending 30 September 2020 revenue rose a stonking 52% to £4.28m, gross profit was £2.24m (margin 52%) and the operating loss reduced to £1m from £2.8m in the comparable period.…
