With stock markets going through a miserable period, it was good to read some positive news from the exciting smaller companies covered here
Jet2: long-term winner Holiday travel group Jet2 (AIM:JET2), which operates the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays brands, reported that customer bookings have remained consistently strong. Package holiday customers continue to display a materially higher mix of the total departing passengers and average load factors are only 1.4ppts behind Summer 2019 at the same point (despite a 14% increase in seat capacity), whilst pricing remains robust. The difficult return to normal operations experienced in early Summer 2022 “due to the lack of planning and investment by many airports and associated suppliers”, (note the dig!) has abated significantly.
