Trakm8 expands its offering with the acquisition of DCS Systems
Trakm8 (AIM: TRAK), the provider of fleet management solutions, engineering services and telematics hardware today announced that they have acquired the business and assets of DCS Systems Ltd for a cash consideration of £3.3 million.
DCS specialises in the design and distribution of camera systems for motor vehicles, bicycles and security markets and trades under three main brands; RoadHawk, Dogcam and Lawmate. Cameras are being increasingly used in vehicle monitoring to help record driving incidents and reduce the risk from ‘crash for cash’ accidents (the practice of staging a car crash for fraudulent insurance claims). This acquisition will therefore enhance Trakm8’s offering, and set them apart from other companies in the marketplace that do not offer cameras alongside their vehicle tracking technology.
