Trakm8 expands its offering with the acquisition of DCS Systems
Trakm8 (AIM: TRAK), the provider of fleet management solutions, engineering services and telematics hardware today announced that they have acquired the business and assets of DCS Systems Ltd for a cash consideration of £3.3 million.
DCS specialises in the design and distribution of camera systems for motor vehicles, bicycles and security markets and trades under three main brands; RoadHawk, Dogcam and Lawmate.
Cameras are being increasingly used in vehicle monitoring to help record driving incidents and reduce the risk from ‘crash for cash’ accidents (the practice of staging a car crash for fraudulent insurance claims).
