Distil (AIM:DIS), has taken many years to get to this point, where it might finally be on the brink of success. It has suffered many false dawns. investors could therefore be forgiven for having a jaundiced attitude towards the stock. Anyone who invested in the shares prior to 2007 is sitting on a substantial loss.

Originally named Blavod Black Vodka when it first listed on AIM back in 2001, it had just that single drink in its portfolio back then.

Since then, shareholders have witnessed a string of name changes, an ill-fated adventure in the United States and an expansion into distribution activities that was subsequently shut down.
