Neglecting international equities can mean missing out on excellent returns. You don’t have to look much further than the FAANGs – Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google-owner Alphabet – for evidence of that. Over the previous five years, US shares have vastly outperformed UK blue chip stocks, with an annualised gain of 12.9% compared with 7.1%.
