Jeremy Clarkson has a new show on Amazon Prime about his farm. The series reveals the highs and lows of managing 300 acres in the Cotswolds, including tales of tractoring, sheeping and pan(dem)icking. You are probably wondering where investment comes in, and, to tell you the truth, it doesn’t. For a start, Clarkson’s Farm teaches us to listen to the voice of doom. Clarkson’s Chief Farming Advisor ‘Cheerful Charlie’ is just as miserable as you would expect a professional agronomist to be. He punctuates all of Clarkson’s premature celebrations with a savage realism: ‘This is too expensive’, ‘Those won’t last’, ‘That’s illegal’.
