Founded in October 2020 by former employees of foreign exchange specialist TransferWise (now Wise), investment platform Lightyear appears to have attracted some high performing customers. Lightyear has just reported a record year of investment activity on its platform with a 20% month-on-month growth in assets under management, although it failed to reveal a precise number for these, suggesting the numbers probably remain small. It’s also safe to assume that the majority of its customers will also be relatively youthful, with smaller accounts, at least compared to those of larger and better-established platforms.
