Wynnstay Group (AIM:WYN) - nice set of full year results from the agricultural suppliers
This long standing business, which was founded in 1917 by tenant farmers of the local Wynnstay estate and was previously a farmers’ cooperative, has its investment attractions.
Group revenue for the year ending 31st October 2014 was flat on the prior year at £413.56m (2013: £413.48m) with volume gains in certain markets negated by commodity price deflation.
For the year ending October 2014 the breakdown of revenue across its 2 divisions was Agricultural Division - revenue at £308.71m, operating profit of £3.80m
The Agriculture division supplies products to both livestock and arable farms. Feed activities include the manufacture of compound and blended products from the Group’s three main plants supplemented by contract
