Is Brand Architekts really as cheap as it seems?
Formerly known as Swallowfield, this AIM listed beauty brands business, has plenty of cash at its disposal to grow and looks great value on many measures. But will it spend wisely?
The transformational disposal of its manufacturing business in August 2019, has left the renamed Brand Architekts Group (LON:BAR), formerly Swallowfield, firmly focused on its portfolio of beauty brands, which have been built up over the past five years, both internally and through acquisition.
The acquisition of the original Brand Architekts business in June 2016 for £11m significantly accelerated the group’s own brands strategy. The then-private company owned a portfolio of mid-premium beauty and personal care brands, with the majority of sales through major UK high street retailers. To support the acquisition of Brand Architekts, Swallowfield raised £8.6m at 155p per share.
