Shaft Sinkers Holdings plc (AIM:SHFT) – shares sink again after fatal accident at Impala

The international shaft sinking and underground construction group has announced a fatal mine accident at its Impala No. 17 Shaft project.

On June 7th 2012, Mr Salomão Chunguane, died after an injury sustained during an accident involving a fall of ground. Mr Chunguane was an employee within the Group for the last 20 years.

A full investigation into this accident is underway and work has been suspended on all three Impala 17 shafts pending the outcome of a presentation to the Department of Mineral Resources.
